Parks board plans fall events and updates pool operations.

Parks & Recreation Commission · Meeting of August 11, 2026

NH PITTSFIELD — Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed summer pool operations and planned October's Harvestfest celebration on August 11. Pool director Kristen Everson reported steady attendance and noted police will increase patrols after items were found on the beach. The commission is exploring a swimming-lesson partnership with Barnstead Parks and Recreation and may receive volunteer lifeguard coverage from committee member Hedy Graybill.

The pool closes August 25, and the recreation area remains available for rental through Harvestfest on October 17. An online rental system is being implemented to streamline bookings with calendar availability to prevent double bookings.
