Community Development Committee brainstorms grant-funded projects

Community Development Committee · Meeting of March 25, 2026

NH PITTSFIELD — Pittsfield Community Development Committee targets grants for town infrastructure and development projects. The five-member committee, drawing on Selectman Jim Allard's update on the selectboard's 2026 budget priorities, proposed 10 grant-funded initiatives including a library expansion concept plan at approximately $25,000, heating for the Town Hall wheelchair ramp, fire department improvements, and tourism-focused projects such as a canoe rental station and covered bridge conversion. The town has approximately $100,000 available in matching funds, and Kim O'Connell is consulting the New Hampshire USDA office on the grant application process.
