CDC backs SB 538 net metering extension bill

NH PITTSFIELD — Pittsfield CDC backs solar net metering extension before legislative deadline. The Community Development Committee unanimously endorsed SB 538, which would extend New Hampshire's current solar net metering system to 20 years of operation, from approximately 14 years. Committee member Louis Houle will author the support letter on behalf of the CDC, acting because the Select Board cannot meet before the legislative deadline in March.

The committee discussed benefits and drawbacks of the existing net metering framework.
